GW@carolinamornings.comG.W. has extensive marketing and operations experience in Western North Carolina’s vacation rental market and has been with Carolina Mornings Luxury Vacation Rentals since 2012. Previously serving in marketing leadership for two international vacation companies, he brings broad expertise in guest experience, revenue, business, and operations. Within the Alliance, he focuses on building community in the local STR ecosystem and fostering understanding of how professional management practices strengthen the industry.

With 40 years in marketing spanning media, retail, and agency ownership, he brings a passion for the intersection of human connection, technology, and business. Mark believes the NC STR Alliance is vital for giving professional managers and hosts a united voice to defend property rights, fight unfair regulations, and share best practices that strengthen the industry for consumers.

He earned a BA from Davidson College and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Business. Chip's community involvement includes serving on boards for Asheville/Buncombe County United Way, Black Mountain Swannanoa Valley Endowment Fund, Buncombe County Tourism and Development Authority, Buncombe County Board of Education, and Montreat Town Commission.

Today, Randall is an award-winning Realtor®, community volunteer, and advocate, proudly serving clients and leading at local and state real estate organizations.

She went on to build a custom tiny house rental, add additional listings, and earn her real estate license to manage STRs professionally. After building a local firm’s STR department and serving as Director of Operations for a top management company, she founded Restō Getaways to offer owners a more personal, streamlined hosting experience.

A native of the region, Ron values its people, culture, and natural beauty, striving to share authentic mountain experiences through sustainable, welcoming vacation homes that create lasting memories.

steve@yondernc.comSteve Frellick began his real estate and construction career in Chicago in 1988, renovating historic homes with his brothers and building a reputation for thoughtful design and craftsmanship. After moving to Asheville in 1998, he focused on custom timber frame homes. Seeing the rise of short-term rentals, he founded Yonder Luxury Vacation Rentals in 2011. Steve believes the STR Alliance is essential as a unified voice and a shared resource for responsible, professional hosting.

Erik Tillman is founder of Redtree Property Advisors, an active real estate investor, Broker in Charge, and property manager with over 20 years of experience in Buncombe County. With a background in telecommunications, leadership, and operations, he brings a disciplined, systems-driven approach to real estate. Erik owns multiple short-term rentals and oversees management of approximately 30 properties throughout the region. He created Together Built Farm & Stay, a family-built agritourism destination blending hospitality and farming. As a board member, Erik advocates for fair policies that protect property rights and strengthen local communities.

Becky King is a small business owner with over 20 years of experience across multiple facets of the real estate industry, including long-term and short-term rentals. She and her husband self-manage a portfolio of mountain vacation rentals, giving her hands-on insight into the realities of responsible hosting. Becky is passionate about fair, balanced regulation and is committed to representing the perspectives of owner-operators while supporting sustainable tourism and strong local communities.

Mike moved to Asheville in 2006 when he combined his experience in the Motion Picture Industry and as a NC Real Estate Agent to create the company MVP Marketing.net. His team of professionals offers Photography, Videography and Digital Marketing for Real Estate Agents, Property Owners, and Small Business Owners. Mike owns several rental properties and assists other Property Owners and Managers in marketing their properties.
